It felt great to be in a city where I was at least partially
bilingual. And my Spanish would improve
as I used it. Donde esta la biblioteca? I probably have hundreds of pictures of
libraries throughout the world.
The first day, as usual, was to become aware of my
surroundings. My biggest concern was the
traffic. The cars did not yield to
pedestrians, they hardly yielded to each other.
Yes, I did have lunch at Popeyes
The next day I walked to the Pacific Ocean and had a
wonderful lunch overlooking the water. Ceviche
is my favorite food in Peru, but I usually have to pick out the cilantro. After getting lost finding a restaurant for
dinner I stumbled into a small cafe and had an amazing stuffed chicken breast.
On my third day I took a tour of downtown Lima. I visited two churches, one over my daily
limit. I also visited a monastery.

In the evening I went to the Paseo de Aguas, a beautiful
water fountain park. The light show was amazing
and I walked through a tunnel of water.
People were walking through many of the fountains.
Inca Kola is more popular then Coke
